Circles

Circles: These are topics you see on the left hand side if using the desktop version and the bottom from the app. They include the General Discussion, Lyric Lounge, and Missed a Meetup?

These circles are spaces for you to introduce yourself, ask general questions, share your original written or recorded songs and catch up on any meetups you are not able to attend live.  Recorded songs can be shared in the Lyric Lounge via a YouTube link, as an attachment, or written out - you choose!

These circles give you the opportunity to interact with other community members and receive valuable supportive feedback about your personal creations. I will even be popping in to give feedback and answer questions.

Meetups

Meetups: Two times per month there will be scheduled meetups. You will receive notifications to RSVP for each meetup. It is highly recommended that you attend live in person so you can ask questions and interact with me, my guests and other members.

In one meetup I will be taking you on a deep dive into analyzing a hit song.  During these talks I will share the story behind the song, the lyric development, how the melody was composed and the chord progressions used!

The second meetup will be a live interview with an industry professional. You will have an opportunity to ask questions on both meetups. If you can't make a meet up live, a recorded version will be available for 6 months in the "Missed a Meetup?" circle.

Challenges

Challenges: Periodically, I will post challenges to encourage community engagement and to break you away from your "go to" writing styles and give you new inspiration!

These will include writing prompts, and opportunities to analyze songs with guided instructions on what to look for.

When you see a challenge, join in! Push your creative bounds and reach for new perspectives. Make sure to post your written or recorded songs so I, along with the community members can give you feedback.

Announcements

Announcements: Currently, all introductions, announcements and general information will be on the General Discussion Circle Feed.

You can access the feed by clicking "General Discussion" at the top of your community page or on the bottom bar on the app. Keep an eye out for challenges as we dive deeper into the membership!
